1816 Vellum Indenture Deed
Early 19th century Indenture on vellum (calf or sheep skin) created over 200 years ago , possibly British but unsure - dated 10th of October, 1816. Looks to be a grant deed of some sort but I don't read this script style very well so I am not sure.
Very beautiful document with wax seals next to signatures at the bottom. Vellum has held together nicely but it is a bit dirty in spots, mainly on outside edges where handled over the years. Also, it has been folded so long there are some heavy creases. This would look amazing flattened and framed.
Apr 29" x 23" but it is hard to get exact as it is not laying perfectly flat. Folds to 10" x 8.5"
