Primitive antique wood farm basket. Would have been used for picking. This one was most likely for cherries.
1800 primitive piece was mainly constructed with dowels with some square nails. Amazing branch handle adds to the amazing charm.
Without the handle the piece is 14" x 14" x 14". 22" tall to top of handle. Normal ware for the age but in great condition.
The design was most certainly painted on at a later date.
