Vintage Rawlings SC Softball Mitt

Vintage Mitt / Glove stamped "official mitt soft-ball". Under Rawlings it says "SC" and on strap it says "U.S. 8-45". I assume this was one of many mitts used by US military but cannot confirm.  Date unsure but likely c1940s. Please look at photos and determine for yourself. 

In fairly good condition but it does have some ware and some of the trim where you insert your hand has come loose (SEE PHOTOS). Looks easy to stitch back.
