Primitive Hammered Copper Water Jug
Primitive antique hand pounded copper water or milk jug. Bottom is rounded. Would have made it easier to pour from this large jug. Iron handles are low for ease of carrying. Not sure of age or origin but with construction including hand rolled edge, looks like dove tail joinery and hand pounded rivets etc it is likely at least 19th century. Origin? Your guess is as good as mine, maybe Turkish?
It is in quite good shape for the age but there is a little crack spot on bottom so it may not hold water. (see all photos) There are a few dents and some tarnish. It would make a great decor piece inside or out to hold stems etc.
18.5" tall and 18" x 14"
